Hunt kastner is pleased to present our second group exhibition curated by the curator/artist team of Edith Jeřabková and Jiří Kovanda, The Best Tailor in Town. The exhibition presents a wide array of mediums (painting, sculpture, photography, and video) from emerging and mid-generation artists, whose common denominator is a certain approach to materiality and form during a period of, as it is referred to by some theorists , digital capitalism.

We used to think that the media is a kind of automatic thing – we want to express something, and therefore we reach into the closet to find what is closest to our idea. This is, of course, quite logical and correct. But what if some things arise otherwise, arising from the continuous development of transformation, from a combination of successes and mistakes, just from that backpressure media that does not fit, material that is rigidly same suspiciously traditional, classical, unpleasant or too friendly. What if she lightness assignment forms the content is not sustainable forever and slips into the stage susceptible to formalism, the "anything goes", to offer clothes for this or that concept. Technology, engineering, material and form suddenly refuse to squirm under priori arbitrariness content and begin to weave it into his intentions and plans.

Not looking for anything new. Everything we already have. At first you may feel that you've seen it a dozen times. Or go ahead and hundreds of times. And yet suddenly else ...? We just do what we're doing. And what you did too. We open drawers and light take up buried things. What is really important is simple and uncomplicated. A beautiful. We have it in your eyes incessantly. The best tailors in sews perfect suits. They are perfect cut of selected substances. All exactly the same for years. And yet you have a nagging and nagging feeling that everyone is different. „
